IntroductionEnglish Ivy is an evergreen, creeping vine that forms a dense mat of dark-green foliage 6 to 8 inches tall. The plant grows best in shade or semi-shade locations. It is most useful on north and east facing banks, under trees where grass will not grow, or as an under planting between shrubs. If exposed to full sun or sweeping winds, the foliage “burns” or discolors in the winter.
