The beautiful creamy, white exfoliating bark adds variety to the landscape by providing a white, branching contrast against the dark green foliage in summer, as well as interesting branching in winter. It is hardy for most all U.S. climate zones, is fast growing, nicely forked, and wind and ice resistant. Use and Management‘Dura Heat’ has a denser, greener canopy of foliage than other birches and is leaf spot resistant. The tree is very shade intolerant.
